Every city has a handful of iconic restaurants that have been area-favorites for decades, and the Elite Restaurant, located on Capitol Street in Jackson, is exactly one of those restaurants.

Since 1947, the Elite Restaurant has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to patrons from all over, whether they’re Jackson-area residents or traveling from out of town. The multi-cuisine establishment is loved by many in Jackson and is truly a staple to the downtown dining scene.

For the early birds, breakfast at Elite consists of the classics, such as bacon, eggs, toast, sausage, biscuits, grits, omelettes, and, of course, coffee. All of the dishes at Elite are made in-house daily from the freshest ingredients, and even the fish is fresh daily, too. With such a wide range of menu options, even the pickiest eater is sure to find something they’ll love at the Elite. You can even choose from fried pickles and fried green beans to munch on before your meal… if you haven’t filled up on the famous yeast rolls, of course.

The quaint, 1800s-era building packs in a lot of flavor, and it’s a Jackson icon that everyone in the area should check out if you haven’t already. There’s a reason Elite Restaurant has stuck around for so long and why people keep going back for more.
