On June 16, Jackson will be home to a collision of culinary talent as the Mississippi Seafood Cook-Off comes to the capital city for the first year. With our state’s rich seafood heritage and immense chef talent, this event has grown each year, having previously been held on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Join us on Saturday, June 16th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at The Capital Club (125 S. Congress Street) as we watch chefs showcase one of our state’s greatest resources. The chef line up includes:

Simon Brown, Seafood R’Evolution, Ridgeland

Blake Campbell, Delta Meat Market, Cleveland

John Fitzgerald, Restaurant Tyler, Starkville

Stevens Flagg, The Rainey, New Albany

Louis Larose, Lou’s Full-Serv, Jackson

Jean Paul Lavalee, Oak Crest Mansion Inn, Pass Christian

PJ Lee, Hal & Mal’s, Jackson

Chaz Lindsay, Parlor Market, Jackson

Matthew Lishman, Nola, Indianola

Rashanna Newsome, Manship Woodfired Grill, Jackson

Nick Reppond, GRIT, Taylor

Chefs from around the state will come together for a cook-off to earn a coveted spot in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off, a two-day competition held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The winning chef at the Mississippi Seafood Cook-Off will go on to showcase our state’s talent outside of our borders.

Join us for a throw down as we celebrate some of Mississippi’s best natural resources – our seafood and our talent! Who will be named the Best Seafood Chef in Mississippi and earn a spot in the Great American Seafood Cook off?
